The Great Outdoors Conservancy is a non-profit organization dedicated to conserving land for recreational enjoyment, located in Galeton, Pennsylvania. It was founded in Florida, USA, in 1998 as a national land trust. The mission of The Great Outdoors Conservancy is to expand wild, natural, scenic and recreational areas through acquisition of land for the benefit of wildlife and its habitat, and the common sense use and enjoyment by all people, and to strengthening communities within the Big Woods of Pennsylvania, primarily within Potter County and the Kettle Creek Watershed. Special consideration is given to the remote rural communities of Cross Fork and Germania.
